Well done to all four teams on a fantastic day of pΓ©tanque and some brilliant results!
A massive thank you to Phil for all the hard work he put into organising the competition and making the day possible. π
Weβd also like to say a very special thank you to the people of Coates, who kindly allowed us to use their driveways for playing on. Your generosity and support were very much appreciated.
Congratulations everyone, and thank you to everyone who helped make it such a great day! π¬π§π΅βͺπ΄
π₯ Strategy. Skill. Precision. Who will take the title?
A huge congratulations to Alex and Xander on taking 1st place and lifting the shield! ππ
Well done also to Nigel and Jack for a brilliant performance to finish 2nd place. π
A big thank you to Jay for organising another great day, and to The Boat Pub for being such fantastic hosts and providing a great venue.
Thanks to everyone who came along and made it such an enjoyable event. Looking forward to the next one! π―
It is often true, without knowing the context behind them, statistics alone rarely give you the full picture. Which is why we have just released an upgrade to the Player Form Guide (see example above) which has an additional section detailing each individual game played during the current season including the opposing players and their performance ratings. Now, you can better judge how good a game result is after taking opposition strength into account.
Player Form Guides can be accessed from various places around this site but you might want to seek out your own by clicking/tapping your team on the Results page and following the link "View Doubles Pairs".
π₯ 2nd Place: Kev, Dan & Nick
π₯ 3rd Place: Matt, Jay & Chris
A big thank you to Phil for organising the competition and ensuring everything ran smoothly throughout the day. Your hard work and effort are greatly appreciated!
Congratulations to all the winners and everyone who took part! ππΎ
Thanks to The Vine pub for hosting as well! π»
The team tables are available to anyone by clicking a team in the main league table on the Results page and then the 'View Doubles Pairs' button. Selecting a pair in the table will bring up their Form Guide.
To avoid information overload, only pairs that have played 2+ games are initially displayed but there is a switch to show all pairs who have competed this season.
For example, today we have just added them into the 'Previous Encounters' sections of the fixtures page providing direct links to the related scoresheet. To see the 'Previous Encounters' click the ellipsis link on any fixture!
Congratulations to Simon Brown for winning the final against Adam Boon.
Thanks to Jay for organising it and making everything run smoothly!
But now there is a good reason to do so. Because not only can you now see who played each game but it is from here where you access the new player form guides. Each doubles pair has their own and provides a lot of detail on how they have played in the league (excludes competitions) during the current season. This example is for Pete Taylor and partner Nigel Cole.
Just go to the Fixtures page, tap/click on a league fixture and hit the "Go to Score Sheet" button. Now tap/click on any of the playing pairs to bring up their form guide.
or visit the bottom of the Information page on the Website!
